About

A bit about Dr. Rastogi.

Dr. Rastogi co-founded North American Spine & Pain in 2014 and leads it as CEO — though the practice grew out of the clinical work rather than the other way around.

They trained at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, completing a residency in anesthesiology and then a fellowship in interventional spine and pain management, where they served as chief fellow. Before founding NASPAC, they were Chief of the Department of Interventional Spine and Pain Management at Virtua Health.

Much of their work since has been about what comes next in the field. Dr. Rastogi has taken part in multiple studies of minimally invasive spinal procedures and written textbook chapters on them, serves as national fellowship course director for several companies developing emerging spine technology, and has travelled widely to train other physicians in interventional technique. They have mentored fellows at Harvard Medical School and advised the fellowship programme at the Cleveland Clinic.

The clinical philosophy is multi-modal — treating pain as something with both physical and emotional dimensions, rather than one problem with one fix. Outside the practice, Dr. Rastogi chairs the Chronic Care Management Committee at the Food Bank of South Jersey.
